"Memories - Like the Corners of Mind"

I got this from a friend's blog and thought it would be fun! I hope you will play along.

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Silly memory, I know, but I remember how much my kids liked the dinner you brought me after Enoch was born. It was some kind of pasta with red sauce (really good). Seems silly that that was the first thing I thought of considering I spend at least 4 hours a week with you. I can think of a bunch of other things, but that was the first in my mind. Great post, I'll have to steal it.

My memory of you is what an great job you did as a gospel doctrine teacher. I loved going to that class.

Oh yeah, and you were the mom of that baby with the insane amount of black hair (Morgan).

Of course I have a gazillion memories of and with you, but the one that stands out in my mind today is one of the earliest (good--hah!) memories (because from the VERY beginning the memories weren't so good, lol). Anyway . . . how could I ever forget you sitting on the floor in the basement of the JKHB looking up at me with those come hither eyes, and my plan of attack was to win you over with chocolate--really good Lindt chocolate. Plan seemed to work!

I guess since I have known you my entire life there are a more than a few memories I could come up with...some that I'm sure you would rather I not share with the entire blogosphere.

So, I'll share that I remember getting into high school and how half of my teachers told me that they expected good things from me since I was your brother. No pressure huh?

That is the real reason I was such a goof off in high school. I didn't want Miranda to have the same pressures!

I remember we were going somewhere in a car (I think the ward progressive dinner) and you announced you were pregnant with Clayton, I didn't want to steal your thunder so I didn't say anything about being pregnant also... Then I especially remember you bringing him home, I was sooooo jealous you were done and I wasn't. How fun to have neighbor boys so close in age.

I remember going with our BYU roommies over to your house and visiting your mom, and you told me that she called you "Young Legs." I remember hanging out with the guys at our apartment -- remember Dean? Steve? And who was that guy Alicia was in love with? Do you keep in touch with any of them? Collette? Carissa? Ingelil? I remember when I first moved in you guys made me feel so welcome, and you pulled me aside and explained to me that Ingelil was used to having a maid. :)
By the way, I tagged you about a month ago so you better get to work on that!

One of my first memories of you was your beautiful display of books! I really wanted the same thing and so I copied you! Thanks for the great idea!

Well this isn't my first memory of you (I can't remember things very well with middle aged alzheimers), but I can sum up a memory of you in just a few words...You're my food storage hero!

What kind of big brother would I be if I didn't share a memory that was a little embarrassing for you, like the time I brought our friends from work home to see you right after you had your wisdom teeth out.
